Perusing the world of franchise news this morning, I came across this thoroughly interesting article on the world of green franchising.

Rightly, green issues and the theme of actually saving this planet call earth are finally gaining some real traction – not least just today with US President-elect Obama teaming up with California Govenor Schwarzenegger to fight climate change.

The Franchise King Blog lists several US franchisors who are offering wholly viable franchise opportunities with the added bonus of having top-notch green credentials. On the list are Yes! Solar Solutions, a solar panel installation company, who, although having a bit more of a future in their California base than our gloomy isles, are certainly showing the way. Another company of note is up and coming food franchise Pizza Fusion (‘Saving the earth, one pizza at a time’), with their organic ingredients and carbon-friendlier Toyota Prius delivery cars.

Let’s hope it won’t be too long before Brits have the opportunity to be involved in green franchising opportunities. Of course, if you already know of some, let us hear about them below.
